*------ plotseq_2.hlp = plotseq menu commands ------ *------ R. Sterner, 23 Sep, 1992 PLOTSEQ is controlled through a screen menu. Menu items will be described in related groups. PLOTSEQ Menu commands QUIT --- exit PLOTSEQ program. HELP --- display this help file. Debug Stop --- Stop inside PLOTSEQ for debugging. .con continues. Go --- Display graphs in movie mode, one after the other. Plot Direction --- Toggle between forward and reverse sequencing. Single Step --- Single step through graphs in the current direction. Replot --- replot last graph using any new parameters (such as a new X or Y range, or a new plot symbol. Also very useful for cleaning up the display after multiple overplots. Plot Index --- Jumps to a specified graph number. Wait Time --- Set delay time in seconds between plots in the movie mode (GO option). Def = 0. X Range --- Set plotted data range in X. Y Range --- Set plotted data range in Y. Enter 2 numbers separated by a space or a comma. Both X and Y ranges are also automatically set by ZOOM and UNZOOM. ZOOM --- Zoom a region of the graph. Zoom uses an interactive box which is manipulated using the mouse. Use the mouse to position the lower left corner of the box. Click the left mouse button to switch to size mode, move the mouse to adjust the box size. Click the left button again to switch back to move mode. Finally click the right button to accept the area covered by the box. For Tektronix terminals the box is replaced by a pair of cross-hair cursors which are used to select two opposite corners of the desired box by clicking the left button. UNZOOM --- reset plot region to cover the entire data set. For linear axes autoscaling is set. For log axes the range is set from the data max to a non-zero min (the smaller of 1 or max/1000). Previous X and Y ranges are not remembered so UNZOOM may not exactly undo the last ZOOM. PSYM --- Set the plot symbol for the main data set (secondary data set always uses a solid line). 0: solid lines 1: Plus signs (+) If a positive values is entered unconnected 2: Asterisks (*) symbols are plotted along the curve. If a 3: Points (.) negative value is entered the symbols are 4: Diamonds connected. 5: Triangles 6: Squares 7: Crosss (X) 8: User defined symbol. Set up before calling PLOTSEQ: usersym,xx,yy where xx,yy is a polygon of about +/- 1 about 0. Second data set --- Turn on or off the overplotting of a second data set. A second set of graphs may be passed to PLOTSEQ through the keywords XOVER=x2, YOVER=y2. See calling parameters for more details. Grid --- Turn a custom grid on or off. Grid lines are passed to PLOTSEQ through the keywords GH for horizontal lines, and GV for vertical lines. See calling parameters for more details. Plot type --- toggle between normal plots or overplots. In overplot mode, which only applies to Single Step plots, the screen is not erased between plots. Replot may be used to erase all but the last plot. X Axis --- toggle between linear and log X axis. Y Axis --- toggle between linear and log Y axis. When switching to log axes, if the range minimum is 0 it is reset to 1 to avoid log of 0 errors. The axis range minimum may be manually set to any non-zero value before or after switching to a log axis.
